IN THE NEWS: A New Look At Harbour Point
In May of 2000, Harbour Point was sold to Harbor 4000 E. LLC. The new team of General Manager Erik Hagen and Office Manager Gina Scott came in willing and ready to make a difference. And, what a difference they have made. Today, when you drive by you can see the big difference that has been made by the new owners. There is a new entrance to compliment the new look that the office has taken on. Around $250,000 was spent to renovate the interior and exterior of the office building. Flags and signage have gone up to help with making the area more festive. Older homes that were left have been removed, thus taking away any place for unwanted or homeless people to use. New homes are steadily coming into the park.
Of the new homes coming in, Hagen stated that a total of 200 new homes will be brought into the park. With the new homes, the park is starting to take on a new look. Along with Hagen and Scott, Tom Dexl is there to help assist you in purchasing your new home. They have homes starting as low as $27,000. If you are interested in purchasing a new home, a pre-owned home, or if you’re just looking to rent, give Dexl a call at 773-646-2200.
The management team works with and attends each CAPS Best Meeting. They are active in the Hegewisch Chamber of Commerce, they have a working relationship with the 4th District police station, and they keep Alderman Pope’s office advised on the park. The park is also very active in helping to keep the Wolf lake area cleaned up.
On Saturday, July 14, 2001, the park held its first ever “Kids Fun Day.” According to management, the kids who live there deserve to have a party and there is no better time than the summer time. Throughout the day, the kids were treated to games, music, food, and some surprises.
The team at Harbour Point is doing what they can to make living in the park the most wonderful experience of all. If you’re looking to buy or rent and you want that feeling of living out in the country with peace and quiet, then you need to visit Harbour Point Estates. Take a few minutes, stop by, and visit with the management team. Find out for yourself why living at Harbour Point would be the best move you’ve ever made.
